Utilities
Utilities are a system used to supply or
provide services such as Electricity, Steam,
and water for the plant production.
In different way, we can say the utilities are
services offered to a factory to help work done.
Electric power, natural gas, steam supply, water supply,
and sewage removal. Within this sector, the specific
activities associated with the utility services provided
vary by utility:
Utilities
Electricity is providing a factory with electricity-energy to enable the machines such as composers and pumps in a factory to start work.
Steam is used in so many industrial applications, most chemical plants and refineries have their own steam generation facilitates.
Water used for all purposes throughout the plant and in specific units such as boilers and usually must be treated for purity.
Also, we can consider machineries as utility that offer service to factory such as forklift and trucks
Nitrogen gas is used primarily as inert gas for blanketing vessels and lines or for conveying combustible materials and sometimes as a backup for instrument air.
Air (Natural gas) is used for unit house stations (general use), air-drive tools, and decoking unit furnaces.
Also, in some companies we can consider as utility (a hydrogen) to control molecular weight in chemical reaction. Utilities are a system used to supply or

- Electric power includes generation, transmission, and distribution.
Natural gas includes distribution.
Steam supply includes provision and/or distribution
Water supply includes treatment and distribution.
Sewage removal includes collection, treatment, and disposal of waste through sewer systems and sewage treatment facilities.
